General Meetings

General Meetings are held in January, once every two years. All those members who have been part of the fund for a minimum of three (3) months can attend this meeting. The programme of the General Meeting includes:

- Reading of minutes;

- Approval of the Financial and Administrative reports;

- Election of the new committee;

- Discussion of motions, proposals or amendments as needed;

 

Each member will be informed of the date of the General Meeting, not later than 15 (fifteen) days, before the event.

 

Extraordinary General Meetings

The Chairperson might call for an extraordinary meeting, when and as suggested by the committee members. During such meeting the committee would be discuss and decide upon urgent or important matters. When such meetings are called, a notice will be put up on the notice board and a circular is sent to all members not later than 15 (fifteen) days, before the meeting. The circular would include the agenda, date, time and place where the meeting will be held.

An extraordinary meeting can also be callled by members (paid) of the fund. The quota of members requesting the meeting has to exceed 25% of the total number of members. Such request has to be made in writing.

 

Proposals for the above meetings need to be made in writing and sent to the committee not later than 10 (ten) days before the date of the meeting.In the event that during such meetings there is no quorum, the meeting would start with a thirty minute delay, but the decisions taken by the members present are valid.

 

The Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary retain the right to manage the sitting ex-officio until a new committee is elected.

A General Meeting will be held on Monday, Ocotber 20 at the S. Piju X Parish Centre, Santa Luċija between 10:00am and 11:30am. During this meeting an election will be held for three committee members. For further information click here.
