Membership

Any priest who is part of the Maltese Diocese is eligible to apply for membership. Retired priests who live in homes can be eligible subject to condtions as set by the leading committee. Such conditions may change as required. Seminarians can apply for a temporary memebership always subject to terms and conditions.

Members who join defund are requested to pay an annual contribution amounting to €20 (twenty euros). This donation is passed on to the treasurer who in turn will deposit it in the bank account of the fund. The treasurer will also issue a receipt and supply the new member with a copy of the statue.

Members can terminate their memebrship by applying in writing. Letters have to be addressed to the committee secretary who will acknowledge such communication.

The Archidiocese of Malta agreed to annually deposit a sum of money equivalent to the total sum deposited by the fund memebers.

The committee can accept donations from non-members and organise fund-rasiing activities to sustain the fund. The fund has a reserve amounting to €2000 (two thousand euros). The reserve can be used only in urgent or exceptional cases.
